Video filters are a new feature that will allow participants to change their video streams with special visual effects such as frames and styles.

Video filters allow Teams users to bring some personality to the meetings and everyone’s work environment to help reduce stress.  A meeting presenter might decide to lighten the mood with a video filter.

You can also enable Video filters from the pre-join screen and in meetings.  During pre-join you can access Video Filters from the quick tray when the camera is enabled.  After joining a meeting you can apply effects from the meeting toolbar, with the camera fly-out, or navigate all video filters option on the side pane by clicking Video effects under the More menu.

For now, this feature is only available on Windows and macOS clients, with no mention of it coming to the web interface or mobile apps yet.  To use this feature you must be in the Teams Public Preview.  Do note, that all meeting participants do not need to be in the Public Preview to see the effects in meetings.
