Unofficial Instagram app '6tag' for Windows Phone gets new design inspired by Windows 10

Rudy Huyn, the man behind several popular Windows Phone apps, has rolled out a big update to 6tag. For those that didn’t know, 6tag is an unofficial Instagram app for Windows Phone, which has received constant updates and feature improvements unlike the official Instagram app. According to Rudy, the following new improvements were added to 6tag version 5.5:

  • New design adapted to Windows 10.
  • Press and hold the camera button in the application bar to directly select a file.
  • Improved search feature: you can now search places and search user/hashtags/places at the same time.

Rudy is also teasing a newer update for 6tag, which adds better support for “phablets.” Check out the teaser image below. You can download the updated app from the Windows Store (or force the update from the download link below).
