The official Windows 10 Telegram app updated today to Version 1.3.9. This update wasn’t a major release however it did increase communication security and added a new feature which allows users to mark messages as read or unread.

Here’s the very short release notes.

  • Mark chats in the chat list as Read or Unread.
  • Improved censorship circumvention.

Telegram is a very popular messaging app that’s praised by its users for its added security and censorship resistance. In addition to the Windows 10 app, there is also an official Telegram app on Windows 10 Mobile which is still updated every now and then.
