Telegram app updates on Windows 10 with new animated sticker feature

The official Windows 10 Telegram app updated to Version 1.7.13 earlier today, adding Telegram’s new animated stickers in addition to support for strikethrough and underline text formatting.

These new animated stickers use the .TGS file format which allows for high quality images and 60 frames per second for each sticker. Like Telegram’s regular stickers, anyone can create and upload their own animated stickers for use either personally or for use by the general public.

Here’s the official release notes:

Send ultra-lightweight high-quality animated stickers to express emotion with motion.

Receive animated stickers instantly on any connection at just 20-30 KB per sticker.

Enjoy smooth animations at 60 frames per second.

Create new animated sets and upload them to @stickers for everybody to use.

Telegram’s previous updates added other options for chats in addition to the new location-based communication tool.
