Microsoft’s premiere event for IT professionals and enterprise developers, TechED, takes place in New Orleans this year on June 3rd to the 6th. If you are one of the fortunate ones to attend this event, you have the chance to purchase a Surface RT or Surface Pro at an unbelievable price.

TechED 2013 attendees can purchase a 128GB Surface Pro for $399 or 64GB Surface RT for $99, a special offer that limits the purchase to just one device per attendee. This offer is only available at TechED 2013 between June 2nd and June 6th. Microsoft even touts the ability to test drive the upcoming Windows 8.1 Preview update on your new tablets.

“As loyal members of the Microsoft family, we are excited to provide TechEd North America 2013 attendees a special offer on Surface. This offer will allow each of you to get your hands on one or both Surface devices and, when it becomes available, update them to Windows 8.1 Preview to test drive it on these great tablets,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post.

It only makes sense that the Surface Pro and Surface RT are offered at a discounted price, considering the price of admission to the event runs around $2,195 for standard admission. TechED 2013 offers hands-on learning, deep product exploration, and opportunities to network with a large community of Microsoft experts.

Thanks for the tip, Dane!
