A Steam Authenticator app might be on the way for Windows phone users

Earlier this week we delivered you a step by step process on how to use the Windows 10 Xbox App to launch Steam titles. Today, a new post on Reddit is hinting at the fact that a Steam Code Authenticator app might be heading to Windows phones.

A look at one line of the code
A look at one line of the code

The original post on Reddit links to this github page filled with code for what may appear to be the app. Comments on the Reddit thread, however, speculate on what the true meanings of the code may be. In one instance, one user claims that the code is only related to mobile responsive features for the mobile version of the SteamBD website. Similarly, another user mentions the fact that the code doesn’t appear to be an official Valve code repository, but rather a repo for SteamDB or a JavaScript file for a login page. Some users, however, hinted that the github repository has found useful hints in the past which were eventually added to the client.

This is a very interesting find, and so we would love to hear your thoughts. Do you think this code means that an Authenticator app is incoming? Let us know by dropping us a comment below!
