Starfield’s 125GB pre-install is now live for those who preordered

Starfield’s release is now less than a month away, and the anticipation for Bethesda’s sci-fi open world action RPG is greater than ever.

And on that note, it looks like the preinstall for the game has gone live. At least for those who have preordered the game, and one would assume the preload is also now available for those who plan to play on Game Pass—if not, rest assured it will be available sometime before launch. Just make sure that you have 125GB of storage on your machine of choice (plus a little extra for those inevitable updates).

The August 9 preload date was leaked last week on an Amazon listing. A month prior a placeholder file for the actual pre-install went live.

Starfield releases on September 6 (or September 1 for those with the early access upgrade included in the Premium Edition). It will be a day one Xbox Game Pass release.
