Select Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 models discounted by $150

It felt like almost yesterday when Panos Panay came on stage to introduce the Surface Pro 4 and pulled off the screen of the Surface Book to our amazement. Half a year has passed since their reveal, however, which is enough time for some popularity re-boosting. Sure enough, Pocketnow has got wind of offers from the Microsoft Store that may help you shave as much as $150 off select models of these two machines. The deals will run until tomorrow, April 9.

Specifically, the discount applies to the Core i7/256GB SSD/8GB RAM Surface Book with dedicated Nvidia graphics, the Core i7/256GB/8GB Surface Pro 4, and the same Surface Pro 4 with a Core i5. The first can now be purchased at $1950 down from $2100, the second can be yours for $1450 instead of the usual $1600, and the last goes down to $1150 from $1300. The Surface Book deal, especially, can be combined with the Surface Dock deal or a free Xbox Controller and Wireless Adapter for Windows, taking a further $100 or $80 off your accumulated purchases respectively.

While much has been happening in the Windows world since Microsoft’s device event last October, nothing has been able to topple the combination of elegance, innovation, power, and mobility brought by the Surface Pro 4 and the Surface Book. Prices is often the only factor that stops most of us from jumping into one of these high-class machines, a problem that this sales may well alleviate. Given Microsoft sticks to a one-year release schedule, the next generation may just be 6 months away; whether you choose to take the bait or wait, remember that there’s not much time to decide.
