Rare, the developer of the upcoming pirate games Sea of Thieves, announced two weeks ago the launch of the Sea of Thieves Insider Programme, allowing enthusiasts to get exclusive insights on the game’s development process. “Thousands of eager gamers have already signed up for our Insider Programme,” revealed Rare in a new blog post published earlier today, adding that early enthusiasts can look forward to getting selected for the game’s first testing phase scheduled from December 16th-18th.

Rare expects to choose around a thousand members of the Insider Programme for this first Technical Alpha play session of the game which is being developed for both the Xbox One and Windows 10. “This gives us the right scale and experience for our first test and will allow us to focus closely on the feedback we receive. As we move on through the Technical Alpha phase, we’ll gradually increase the player base and frequency of sessions in line with the game’s evolution,” explained the game studio.

If you want to get a chance to be one of the first to try the multiplayer pirate adventure, we invite you to join the Sea of Thieves Insider Programme right now. Additionally, Rare has published the following video showcasing the gameplay features that will be part of this first preview of the game in the video.
