Dropbox

Earlier today, Rudy Huyn confirmed on Twitter that he is the developer of the official Dropbox app for Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone. Huyn is already known as the developer of CloudSix for Dropbox, an immensely popular Dropbox client app for Windows Phone. Now, it looks like Dropbox finally noticed his hard work and brought him on to create an official Dropbox app for Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone.

Some have already guessed, indeed, I am the developer of #Dropbox applications for #WindowsPhone and #windows 🙂 pic.twitter.com/rJMRAK2oc5

Huyn stated that he intends that CloudSix for Dropbox will continue along with the official Dropbox app for the time being, but I can only speculate that Dropbox will aim to get CloudSix for Dropbox pulled from the Windows Phone Store. Hopefully, with Huyn at the helm, the official Dropbox app will keep getting updated with bug fixes and improvements over the coming months until other Windows Phone apps. I am looking forward to what Rudy Huyn has in store for future updates to the official Dropbox app. If you don’t already have it, download the official Dropbox app in the link below.
