Reminder: if you have the latest Windows 10 Insider build, you already have the Anniversary Update

Today is the day Windows 10 users have been waiting for! It is finally August 2nd, and that means the Windows 10 Anniversary Update is set to be released soon! If you’re a Windows Insiders on the latest build, however, we would just like you to know that you already have the Anniversary Update on your system.

In fact, it was just yesterday that Dona Sarkar pushed out the most recent Insider Preview build 14393.10, to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring via Cumulative Update KB3176929.  This build is the final PC build ahead of the Anniversary Update, and marks an end of the Redstone 1 journey, although with Microsoft’s “Windows as a service” approach, nothing is ever really final.

You can choose to stop participating in the Insider program if you would like to sit back and just enjoy the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, or choose from Fast, Slow, or Release Preview Rings. To do that open Settings in Windows 10, Then Update and Security > Windows Insider Program , and check your settings:

Redstone 2 is just around the corner, so will you be exiting the Windows Insider program? Or will you be continuing on with installing Windows Insider Builds? Let us know by dropping us your thoughts in the comment section below!
