Mixer, Microsoft’s interactive live streaming platform for gamers is now rolling out new iOS and Android apps that have been rebuilt from scratch. The new app is available today on Android and will be available in a couple days on iPhones and iPads, and the team says that the new code base will enable faster updates than before.

“From beta through to launch, we’ve focused on improved discoverability, new personalization options, and Mixer interactivity,” the blog post reads. The app now has a new bottom bar for quick access to trending live streams, channels you follow and your own profile. The new version also introduces several new features such as push notifications, improved search, a more complete chat experience with Viewer list, whispers, basic mod features and more.

When opening the new app, you’ll see an introductory video showing you all the new features now available on mobile. It’s a really nice update overall, and the addition of push notifications for when your favorite streamers go live should help to drive usage of the service.
