Yesterday at the Build 2014 conference, Nokia unveiled two entry-level Windows Phone 8.1 powered smartphones known as the Nokia Lumia 630 and 635. The handsets are expected to reach US shores in the summer, but AT&T and T-Mobile have already announced they will carry the latest budget-offering from Nokia. It’s not just T-Mobile, MetroPCS, the company’s subsidiary, will also offer the Nokia Lumia 635 to its users

This innovative and affordable LTE capable smartphone features the new Windows Phone 8.1, Cortana personal assistant and a speedy quad-core processor. And we’re excited to bring to both T-Mobile and MetroPCS customers the combination of next-gen software, great features and fresh design that Nokia’s latest Windows Phone has to offer,” said Jason Young, senior vice president of Marketing at T-Mobile.
There’s no word about the launch date nor its pricing, but it should come as a good news for those waiting for the LTE-enabled Nokia Lumia 635 to land on US shores. Running the latest Windows Phone 8.1, Nokia Lumia 635 offers 4G LTE connectivity at a budget price, and comes with a 4.5-inch display sporting a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, and is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor. The handset comes with 512MB RAM, 8GB storage with a microSD card slot and 7GB free SkyDrive storage, 1,830 mAh battery, and has a 5MP camera.
