Nokia unveiled the Nokia Camera app today during the Nokia World 2013 event, along with new Lumia smartphones and a new Windows RT 8.1 tablet. This new Nokia Camera app combines the Nokia Pro Cam and Nokia Smart Cam app into one!
Nokia Camera combines all the best features of the Nokia Pro Cam and Nokia Smart Cam into one app. Users can utilize auto mode to capture great images with ease and have quick access to sport and night modes. There is also manual mode that offers controls for exposure, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, and focus. Smart mode allows you to shoot a sequence of photos that can be combined in different ways.
The Nokia Camera app also has the ability to emphasize motion, remove moving objects, or show action with a strobe effect. You can also change faces in group shots so everyone can have their eyes open.
“If you are already running Nokia’s Pro Cam, the changes come in the form of an update (version 4.2.2.8) which will switch everything over to Nokia Camera. The new photography app is available for Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices and works with limited functionality on phones without the Lumia Amber update,” WPCentral notes.
