Starting now, NHL 20 is available as part of this weekend’s Free Play Days for Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members. NHL 20 brings more customization, new game modes, and gameplay innovation, with more ways to show off your hockey skills on Xbox One. As noted in a post on Xbox Wire, once the Free Play Days weekend is over, you can purchase the game and keep the Xbox Achievements that you earned in NHL 20.

Here’s the Xbox One gameplay trailer where you can find the five new things to look for in NHL 20.

In addition, NHL 20 brings four all-new game modes:

  1. All-New Eliminator Mode: A new mode in the World of Chel introduces winner-take-all competition. Take it on solo, until you’re the last player standing, or jump in with friends and compete to be the best in the barn.

  2. Ones Now: Play the fan-favorite Ones Now mode offline and on-the-couch with friends, allowing you to compete up close and personal for head-to-head bragging rights.

  3. Squad Battles: For the first time ever, compete offline against squads assembled by the Hockey Ultimate Team community. Or, challenge the Featured Squad, which rotates each week and is assembled by NHL players, hot musical artists, hockey influencers, and superstar athletes from other major sports.

  4. Alumni Teams: Feeling nostalgic? Jump in with one of the games alumni teams, featuring players from the past.

Additionally, EA Access members get an additional 10% off NHL 20 purchase price. You can install NHL 20 using the link below or with your Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership through the Microsoft Store on your Xbox One.
