Xbox and The Coalition have just released a new trailer for Gears of War 4, this time focusing on the game’s Versus Multiplayer modes. The trailer is part of the promo campaign for the Gears of War 4 Versus Multiplayer Beta, set to be open to all Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One starting Monday, April 25 and ending on May 1.

The trailer shows off many new aspects of Microsoft’s fourth entry in its critically-acclaimed third-person shooter franchise, exclusive to the Xbox platform, and now the Windows ecosystem. Highlights include new weapons like the Buzzkill (basically a saw blade launcher) and the Dropshot, which looks like a homing grenade launcher; new close-quarter cover combat moves like vault-kicking and yanking, and new finishers.

Players also get a glimpse of the new reward system which looks a lot like Halo’s REQs, new maps, and even new multiplayer modes alongside the comeback of five fan favorites,  including Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill, Guardian, Warzone, and Execution. One of the new game modes, Escalation, will get its own exclusive worldwide reveal t0morrow live at 11:00 AM EDT on Twitch, starring 10 pro players duking it out it Gears of War 4’s first ever showmatch.

Those looking for more Gears of War goodness can tune in for the “Gears” eSports ESL Pro League Season 2 Grand Finals, happening tomorrow at PAX East. Also at PAX East, developer the Coalition will speak at a panel on Sunday, April 24, which will also be streamed live through Twitch; the Xbox Booth at the event will be where you can try out Gears of War 4 Versus Multiplayer.

Finally, here is some information for those interested in the trailer’s music: the soundtrack is called “Nobody Speaks”, it’s made by DJ Shadow, featuring El-P and Killer Mike, the latter of whom also collaborated with Xbox on the Gears of War Ultimate Edition last year. “Nobody Speaks” will appear on DJ Shadow’s upcoming album, The Mountain Will Fall, set to release on June 24th.
