New Microsoft Edge icon starts rolling out across the Canary, Dev, and Beta channels

The new Microsoft Edge icon that the company unveiled a couple days ago has just started rolling out across all the Edge Insider channels. We’ve just received it on the Canary channel, where the latest update bumped the build number to 80.0.323.0

Yesterday, Microsoft announced at its Ignite 2019 conference that a stable version of Microsoft Edge supporting 90 languages will be available on Windows and Mac on January 15, 2020. The new Chromium-based web browser has evolved quite a lot since the beginning of the Microsoft Edge Insider program, and there’s no doubt that moving away from EdgeHTML was a good move.

The new Microsoft Edge icon doesn't really look like the redesigned Office icons Microsoft introduced in recent months, and it will probably be some time before Edge users get used to it. Do you like this new icon, or do you still prefer the old one? Let us know in the comments below.
