Fortnite players will have a new update to download today on Xbox One and Series X|S consoles. Releasing on May 23, the maintenance patch will address minor stability issues. The update should download upon launching the game.

On May 20 a similar patch was released for Android, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch consoles. The Fortnite version 3.57 patch notes simply states “addressed stability issues.” Sounds pretty mundane, though it will improve the overall game experience.

Fortnite is a hugely popular free-to-play online shooter with several game modes such as Battle Royale (in which up to 100 players fight to be the last one standing), Save the World (a tower defense/survival mode) and Fortnite Creative (a sandbox mode in which players get to build up their own private island).

The game was recently made available via Xbox Cloud Gaming. It has over 24 million players daily in 2022, with a whopping 270 million logging in each month.
