Microsoft has released a new Windows Feature Experience Pack update for Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel. Coming in at version 120.2212.3030.0 it is for Beta Channel Insiders who are on Windows 10 20H2 and apparently also some Insiders who have opted in to receive the Windows 10 21H1 Update, too.

Note that there’s only one change in this release. Microsoft is improving the reliability of the handwriting input panel. As a reminder, these updates are fast to install when compare to a full-on Windows Insider build.

Microsoft talked about this back in November, mentioning the goal of testing and improving certain features and experiences in Windows independently of the operating system. The plan is to then eventually expand the Feature Experience Pack Updates out in the future to everyone else into the existing way Windows is updated.

You can find this update today by going to Settings, Update and Security, and Windows Update. Microsoft says that after you download this update, you’ll have to reboot your PC to enable the improvement. They’re also working on a new Feature Experience Pack Update for Insiders running the 21H1 Update, too.
