NBA 2K16 free for Xbox One Live Gold members this weekend

Once again, it pays to be an Xbox Live member. Aside from the online-multiplayer participation Xbox Live enables, members receive two monthly bonus games for free as well as access to other offers and promotions throughout the year.
Being an Xbox Live Gold member this month will now enable use of NBA 2K16 for free this weekend only.

Running from 9 AM PT Friday, November 20 through 11:59 PM PT Sunday, November 22, this allows Gold members in Xbox One markets to experience the excitement, drama and skills on display in NBA 2K16, including the new 2K Pro-Am game mode with fully customizable tournaments, in its entirety and for free.”

The idea, is that once Xbox Live Gold member get an unfettered taste of the critically acclaimed NBA 2K16 for the weekend, they will then pony for full access to the game once the weekend is over. For those seeking to pick up where they left off during the open-weekend trial, the game will also be on sale all week.

Once again, Xbox Live Gold members will have full access to the game which includes the following game modes and settings:

As part of the NBA 2K16 promotion, weekend players will retain their progress, achievements and Gamescores that were earned as they carry over to the discounted version of the game.
