After Microsoft’s Larry Hyrb was spotted using an unreleased and unannounced Spotify Music app on his Xbox One console yesterday, some other hints at the app’s existence have been discovered.

Today on Reddit, a user called GhostlyCrowd posted a screencap (see below) he took from the Microsoft ExpertZone website which is used to train retail staff in Microsoft products and services. The page dated June 23rd appears to be promotional material for the Windows 10 and Xbox One Spotify app. Interestingly, the Spotify app did launch on Windows 10 in the Windows Store around that time so this could suggest that the Xbox One app was also expected to launch in June alongside it but was delayed for some unknown reason.

Spotify App on Xbox One and Windows 10

While this page has since been deleted from the web portal, rather hilariously, the official Microsoft ExpertZone Twitter account tweeted about it back on July 20th and that tweet is still online despite the lack of any Xbox Spotify app launch.

It’s safe to assume now that an official Spotify app is indeed coming to the Xbox One sometime in the near future. Are you excited for Spotify to finally be made available on the Xbox One console? Will it make you drop rival services like Pandora or Groove Music? Let us know in the comments below.
