MLB The Show 22, the latest episode in the popular baseball video games series will be available on Xbox Game Pass on its launch day, April 5. This will be the second time that Microsoft brings the latest MLB The Show title on Game Pass on day one after doing so for MLB The Show 21 last year.

“Both MLB The Show 22 Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S Standard Editions will be included with Xbox Game Pass so members will be able to play the best version of the game regardless of which console they are on. And with cross-platform play and progress, you can play against others online, and earn and use content across the platform and generation you choose,” said Ramone Russell, San Diego Studio.

Last year was actually the first time MLB The Show, a sports franchise closely associated with PlayStation, finally made its debut on Xbox consoles. MLB The Show 22 will also be available on Xbox Cloud Gaming on launch day, which is a pretty great way to make a sports franchise of this caliber accessible to more gamers.

MLB The Show 22 will star the promising Los Angeles Angels player Shohei Ohtani on its cover. The game is already available for pre-order on the Microsoft Store, and the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game are priced at $59.99 and $69.99, respectively.
