Over the last year, Microsoft has been pitching its cross platform feature Xbox Play Anywhere which allows gamers to purchase a game once but play it on a Windows 10 device or Xbox console at their leisure.

While Xbox Play Anywhere seems like futuristic omnipresent gaming approach, it seems only really effective when there is a game users want to play.
