Microsoft’s SwiftKey updates on iOS with new themes, languages, and more

Arif Bacchus

Microsoft recently released a major update for SwiftKey on iOS. The update brings new themes, languages, emoji predictions, and much more. As always, if you have not already updated, you can find the complete details by checking the changelog below.

What’s New in Version 2.1.0:

  • 8 new ‘Oxygen’ themes, available for free
  • Redesigned emoji panel featuring a new emoji predictions pane
  • 15 new languages
  • 3D Touch control now easier to use
  • Haptic feedback for iPhone 7 and 7 Plus

Thanks to the update, you no longer need to scroll through a long list of emojis, as SwiftKey now suggests an emoji right after you type something and press on the emoji key. You’ll also notice support for new languages such as Egyptian Arabic, Tanglish, Greenlandic, and Ewe. Lastly, the update has enabled improvements to 3D touch controls, and haptic feedback on the iPhone 7 and 7 plus, for actions such as touching on the emoji panel.
