The gaming community was buzzing on Monday when Microsoft announced the cancellation of Fable Legends, as well as the closing of Lionhead Studios and Press Play Studios. Now three days after that saga, Microsoft has released a statement to Gameinformer in order to calm the panicked nerves of gamers.

In a statement published in Gameinformer, Microsoft passes off the removal of logos from the Microsoft Studios website as routine.

“As part of these changes, we did a site refresh and removed several logos for older studios and projects that have been consolidated during the past several years into other Microsoft Studios and teams. As games launch and new projects come online, we routinely make these kinds of moves to ensure we have the right development support on the right games.”

The company appears to be removing any speculation that the closures, and removal of logos from the Microsoft Studios website, could mean job layoffs in the Xbox division.
