Microsoft releases new MS Paint backgrounds for Skype and Teams meetings

It’s been quite some time since Microsoft released new custom backgrounds for meetings, but Microsoft Paint fans are up for a treat today. The company has just released some exclusive MS Paint inspired backgrounds for Teams and Skype users to “accessorize” their Ugly sweaters this holiday season.

For anyone using Microsoft Teams, you can download a bunch of custom background images from the Xbox Gear Shop website. However, Skype users don’t need to go through the manual download process, as these backgrounds are already loaded into the Skype client. (Don’t forget to check out for Teams background suggestions!)

In case you missed it, Microsoft is now selling retro-themed Windows Ugly sweaters to support the “Girls Who Code” charity. Interestingly, the company is also surprising some lucky buyers with the recreation of their Twitter profile picture in MS Paint. If you’re interested in buying one too, feel free to check out our separate post for more details. Just keep in mind that the stock is pretty much limited, with many sizes already sold out.
