Microsoft issues bans for Xbox Live Marketplace Theft
Microsoft has begun to crack the whip on those who “steal from the marketplace.” The company has begun to ban Xbox Live accounts for illegitimately accessing Xbox Live Marketplace downloadable content.
It appears that this ban is put in place for those who have managed to download games, add-ons, etc, from the marketplace for free. Microsoft will be banning these accounts until 12/31/9999. Ouch! Many of the Xbox 360 owners who were banned, pleaded innocent, but were banned anyway.
Not that long ago, we learned that there was a special team in place that filters out offensive content on the company’s Xbox Live service. One of the team members, referred to as the Xbox LIVE Enforcement Unicorn Ninja, is there to continually ensure the service is “safe, non-offensive, and fun” for all subscribers.Further reading: Microsoft, Xbox Live
