Microsoft Play

Microsoft has finally launched Play, a new service that lets you play Xbox Live games on any Windows 8 device, allowing gamers to take that game anywhere you go. Microsoft Play allows for a tighter integration with Xbox Live games and the company’s Windows platform.

The idea behind Play is to house game titles that are able to be played on the Xbox 360, as well as other Microsoft products such as Windows and Windows Phone. For example, you could play a game on your Xbox, and resume where you left off on your Surface!

“Get your game on with this amazing line-up of titles from Microsoft Studios. Our games have something for everyone, from casual puzzlers and high energy racing to immersive adventure and non-stop arcade. For Xbox fans you’ll also find your favorite features like leaderboards, multiplayer modes, connecting with friends, and more. All Microsoft Studios titles let you try before you buy; check them out today!” Microsoft stated on the official Play website. There are fifteen game titles available for download thus far, including Skulls of the Shogun, Wordament, Pinball FX2, and Rocket Riot 3D, among others. Most, if not all, of these games run on both Windows 8 and Windows RT and are available for download in the Windows Store. Hit the source link to learn more about these games and how to download them and check out the video introduction of Play below.
