Microsoft Ignite gets new conference location, heads to the ‘Big Easy’ in 2020

For the past few years, Microsoft has hosted its comprehensive technology conference during the fall in Orlando, FL, however, that tradition is coming to an end as the company looks to move it to New Orleans for 2020.

Microsoft Ignite has been the company’s showcase conference for ideas and tools designed to power big data, empower IT professionals and support near-future cloud infrastructures; and until this year, the company used to invite attendees to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL to be a part of it.

According to the official Microsoft Ignite registration page, from September 21-25, the conference will be hosted in the Big Easy, aka New Orleans, LA.

Learn innovative ways to build solutions and migrate and manage your infrastructure. Connect with over 25,000 individuals focused on software development, security, architecture, and IT. Explore new hands-on experiences that will help you innovate in areas such as security, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure and development.

Even though there is a place to pre-register for the conference, there is sparse information about the exact location of this year’s Ignite conference.

Presumably, Microsoft will use a similar convention center set up for the conference which could include attendees booking lodgings in and around the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center near the French Quarter.
