Microsoft enhances support for Intel and AMD processors on Windows 11 22H2

In September, Microsoft started rolling out Windows 11 22H2 which featured a ton of enhancements geared toward enhancing the user’s experience. The company then announced that it would hasten the process by availing the update to those clicking on the Check for updates after launching Windows Update Settings.

And now, Microsoft has broaden its list of supported processors for both Intel and AMD. According to Microsoft, “The processors listed represent the processor models which meet the minimum floor for the supported processor generations and up through the latest processors at the time of publication. These processors meet the design principles around security, reliability, and the minimum system requirements for Windows 11″.

If you are not already running Windows 11 22H2, and have found that your processor features in either one of the lists, then you can make the update. However, you should note that some users have encountered some issues with the update, such as, printer compatibility issues and a file copy bug that slows down the OS. Be sure to also check out Microsoft’s list of supported Qualcomm processors.
