Microsoft’s board of directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.75 per share, representing a 10% increase compared to the previous quarter’s dividend.

The dividend increase shows the company’s strong financial position and commitment to returning value to shareholders.

This dividend will be payable on December 14, 2023, to shareholders of record as of November 16, 2023. The ex-dividend date when the stock starts trading without dividends is November 15, 2023.

The ex-dividend date is the date on or after which shares must be purchased to receive the current dividend payment. Investors who purchase Microsoft shares on or after November 15, 2023, will not be eligible for the December 14, 2023, dividend payment.

The 2023 Annual Shareholders Meeting is scheduled for December 7, 2023. Shareholders who are recorded as of the record date on September 29, 2023, will have the right to vote their shares at the meeting.

This year’s annual shareholders meeting will be conducted virtually. Key Microsoft executives, including Satya Nadella (Chairman and CEO), Amy Hood (Executive Vice President and CFO), Brad Smith (Vice Chair and President), and Sandra E. Peterson (Microsoft Lead Independent Director), will be hosting the meeting.
