Microsoft is holding a private event on October 6th (and we’ll be there live) where the company is expected to unveil a new Microsoft Band. It appears that renders of the new Microsoft Band 2 have surfaced on the internet, courtesy of MicrosoftInsider.es (Spanish).
According to the report, the device is codenamed Envoy and has been tested internally for months now. The design of the device is obviously much more attractive than the first generation, featuring a metallic finish front panel and physical buttons. The Microsoft Band 2 also features a curved shape for a better fit around your wrist.
Overall the design looks awesome, as you will see in the images below. There aren’t many details available on the Microsoft Band 2 (like specs, or pricing), and we expect to learn more over the next few weeks as the October 6th event nears. Stay tuned! This is a developing story.
