Microsoft adds a new app launcher to easily switch between Outlook.com and its other online services

When Outlook.com first launched as the new Hotmail, Microsoft’s main priority was to offer a cleaner, simpler, and more modern email experience for the masses. However, the software giant hasn’t stopped there, as more improvements are being rolled out to Outlook to enhance that experience.

Today, the Outlook team have announced the addition of an app launcher on the new Outlook.com header. According to Microsoft, the new launcher “offers a single point of access to the personal services you use daily: Outlook.com, People, Calendar, OneDrive and Office Online”.

The new launcher brings a level of familiarity to users of Microsoft consumer-centric email services, considering that a similar launcher was also added for Office 365 customers. Users can now quickly and easily switch between different Microsoft services on the fly. Head over to outlook.com now to check out the new launcher, and if it hasn’t rolled out for you yet, the image above is what it looks like.
