Fallout 4

Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb of the Xbox team took a few minutes to interview Bethesda VP Pete Hines. In case you’ve been out of the loop, Bethesda is the game development company behind a little upcoming title knows as Fallout 4.
Some of the highlights:

  • The game plays upon the franchise’s “unique take” on the post-apocalyptic genre
  • Adding player choice is one of the focuses of Fallout 4, building on the company’s previous titles
  • All 50 or so of the game’s core weapons can be modified in a ridiculous number of ways
  • Xbox modding capability is a really big deal

There’s a lot more in the video, and we don’t want to spoil all the fun.

Fallout 4 is looking like a pretty exciting title, and we’re sure plenty of you are looking forward to loading it up when it’s released tomorrow (November 10, for those not looking at their calendar). You’ll be able to load up Fallout 3 on your Xbox One a little later this week (November 12, to be precise) when Backward Compatibility is a thing. And the Fallout 4 Pip-boy companion will soon be available on Windows phones.
So, there’s a ton of news to keep you occupied until tomorrow. In the meantime, enjoy the video above and get ready for some post-apocalyptic mayhem.
