LinkedIn starts rolling out Reactions to messages on the web and mobile

LinkedIn is the following the steps of Facebook and Skype and has started rolling out LinkedIn Reactions today. The existing “Like” will remain, but LinkedIn users will be able to choose other reactions including “Love”, “Celebrate” or “Curious” to express their thoughts on LinkedIn posts.

“You can use Celebrate to praise an accomplishment or milestone like landing a new job or speaking at an event, or Love to express deep resonance and support, like a conversation about work life balance or the impact of mentorship. Insightful can help you recognize a great point or interesting idea, while Curious lets you show your desire to learn more or react to a thought-provoking topic. As a poster, these new reactions can help you better understand the impact your posts are having,” the company explained today.

Reactions

Message Reactions are already a popular feature on communication apps like Slack or Discord, though these apps allow you to react to messages using any emoji of your choice. Still, adding a limited set of reactions seems like a good way for LinkedIn to catch up with more consumer-focused social networks, while also giving LinkedIn members more ways to express themselves.

LinkedIn Reactions will roll out on the web and mobile over the coming months, so don’t worry if you don’t see them immediately.
