LG launches its new range of ultraportable ‘gram’ laptops in India

LG Electronics has launched its new range of ultraportable laptops – LG gram – in India.

The 17-inch variant LG gram was recognized as the world’s lightest laptop by Guinness World Records earlier this year. The gram range though also includes 15.6-inch and 14-inch variants.

The LG gram aims to redefine the 17-inch category, so consumers don’t have to sacrifice portability – it weighs only 1 kg. It complies with the U.S. military MIL-STD-810G durability criteria, covering seven resilience factors including shock, dust and extreme temperatures.

It packs a WQXGA (2560 x 1600) display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and is powered by the newest 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and has 8GB of DDR4 memory along with a 512GB SSD.

The gram 15 packs in a 15.6-inch display and weighs only 1099 grams. It is powered by the newest 8th Generation Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of DDR4 memory, and 256GB SSD.

The gram 14 weighs less than a kilo (995 grams). The 14-inch laptop is powered by the newest 8th Generation Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of DDR4 memory, and 256GB SSD.


The LG gram14Z990-V is priced at ₹95,000, the gram 15Z990-V is priced at ₹98,000, and the gram 17Z990-V is priced at ₹1,26,000. All three models will be available on Amazon.in starting next week.
