Microsoft released a significant new version of its Groove Music client to users in the Windows Insider program, marking the first time that the music app was pushed to machines based on participation in the beta program. Now, pending positive Insider feedback, apparently, the new version is making its way to production Windows 10 Mobile machines.

According to Microsoft Groove engineer Ellen Kilbourne on Twitter:

Perhaps the biggest aspect of the new Groove Music app is its new status as a Universal Windows app. You can check out the full (and impressive) list of fixes and updates over at the Microsoft Answers page for Groove Music.

The update isn’t live quite yet, but should be shipping soon. Keep hitting that update button, and the Windows Store link is below. Windows 10 Mobile production machines will get the update first, and then eventually it will roll out to PCs.
