Microsoft, Build

If you’re heading to the Seattle area for Microsoft’s Build Conference in May, you might want to check out a free AI Immersion Workshop pre-event on May 9th. According to Microsoft, the workshop is a special opportunity for advanced developers who are interested in creating the next generation of intelligent apps.

Attendees of the workshop should expect to see experienced Microsoft engineers and developers running hands-on tutorials, as well as have chances to learn how to build real-world solutions using Microsoft and open source technologies. The workshop will also begin with a keynote talk on Microsoft’s AI vision and roadmap and will later offer attendees opportunities to connect with developers and data scientists working on Microsoft’s products and services, as well as with industry peers. Other areas covered in the workshop include the following:

  • New Artificial Intelligence / Cognitive Apps.
  • Deep Learning.
  • Applied Machine Learning for Developers.
  • Big AI, i.e. the intersection of Big Data & artificial intelligence.
  • From BI to AI, I.e. evolving relational databases & data warehouse solutions into the new world of AI.

Microsoft will provide plenty of food, snacks, and caffeine throughout the workshop, and attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops so they can enjoy the experience. Attendees who are already confirmed to attend Microsoft Build 2017 will still be required to register at a special registration page for the AI Immersion Workshop, which will open up later in March.
