Getting Cooking Simulator on Game Pass cost Microsoft $600K, report says

Yes, you heard right, Microsoft paid $600,000 to Big Cheese Studio to bring the Cooking Simulator game to Xbox Game pass, as per the Gameindustry.biz story. Cooking Simulator was added to the Xbox game pass library this month.

Originally the Big Cheese Studio launched the Cooking Simulator game in June 2019 on Steam and the company claims that more than 700,000 copies have been sold overall.

The amount paid to the studio was reportedly equal to 22 percent of the developer’s net profit from the last fiscal year. It seems to have turned out to be a good deal, said Big Cheese Studio. In its report, Big Cheese Studio revealed the money it received from Microsoft.
