Flipboard for Windows Phone now supports devices with 512MB of RAM

Flipboard for Windows Phone now supports devices with 512MB or RAM

Flipboard for Windows Phone was one of the most highly anticipated apps to hit the platform. Luckily, it didn’t arrive only to be forever neglected like other once highly anticipated apps, we’re looking at you Instagram! The app has seen fairly regular updates and today receives yet another one.

This time around, Flipboard introduces support for low-memory devices. That means that everyone with devices sporting only 512MB of RAM like the Lumia 520, 530, and 635, and will now be able to download the app and proceed to elegantly flip though news from the best sources on the web. WinBeta.org being one of those sources of course!

In addition to the low-memory optimizations, the update also includes minor UI adjustments, bug fixes, performance improvements and enhancements to the Accounts and Notifications features.
