Evernote Touch app

For those of you who use the Evernote app on Windows 8 or Windows RT, a minor update was recently released fixing bugs and adding performance improvements. Evernote is an alternative to Microsoft’s OneNote app, for those that didn’t know.

The update, which rolled out today, simply addresses bugs and adds performance improvements. The change log in the Windows Store for the app update currently displays the last update details, rather than the new update details. However, since it appears that this is a minor update, we can venture a guess and assume that this update fixes bugs and adds performance improvements.

“Evernote is an easy-to-use, free app that helps you remember everything across all of your devices. You can create a plaintext notes on your Windows 8 tablet, and then open it on your smartphone or any other devices you use. Evernote runs on laptops, smartphones, tablets and the Web, allowing you to find your memories at any time from anywhere. Stay organized, save your ideas and improve productivity,” the app description reads.

In the previous update for the Evernote Touch app, a new hub page offering an overview of your account was added. Also added was an activity feed that notifies you about updates in shared notebooks, the ability to have shortcuts to important notes, tags, and notebooks. Evernote Touch also received improved note editing with plain-text and simplified formatting in the last update.
