For those of you who use the Evernote app on Windows 8 or Windows RT, an update was recently released adding several new features along with bug fixes. Evernote is an alternative to Microsoft’s OneNote app.

“Evernote is an easy-to-use, free app that helps you remember everything across all of your devices. You can create a plaintext notes on your Windows 8 tablet, and then open it on your smartphone or any other devices you use. Evernote runs on laptops, smartphones, tablets and the Web, allowing you to find your memories at any time from anywhere. Stay organized, save your ideas and improve productivity,” the app description reads.

So what’s new? The updated app features a new hub page offering an overview of your account, as well as an activity feed that notifies you about updates in shared notebooks. You can also have shortcuts to important notes, tags, and notebooks. The update also brings forth improved note editing with plain-text and simplified formatting.

The updated Evernote app now features two-step verification for login as well as numerous bug fixes. Hit the download below to snag the updated app or update your app via the Windows Store.
