E3 2016: Microsoft Confirms Project Scorpio

After months of speculation, Microsoft has finally confirmed the existence of Project Scorpio at their E3 2016 event.

The Project Scorpio console is being called by Microsoft as the “most powerful console ever” and Microsoft is noting that it supports high frame rate VR and is set to ship out in Holiday of 2017. Additionally, the company also noted at E3 that Scorpio also will have 8 XPU Cores and 6 teraflops of power and support for True 4k gaming.

More importantly, though, Microsoft made sure to mention that all Xbox accessories will be backward compatible with the system and that all Xbox One games will play on Scorpio, as well the Xbox One S. This is a true testament that Microsoft is not leaving the current Xbox One Generation behind, and that the company is building for a better future of playing without boundaries.

This is a developing story and we’ll keep you updated as more information comes out.
