Microsoft slashes the price of Surface Pro 2 in US

Ahead of the release of the Surface Pro 3 tablet, Microsoft has slashed the price of all the Surface Pro 2 variants. Last month Microsoft’s UK Store started selling the Surface Pro 2 tablet at a discounted price, and today the US Store of the company has reduced $100 to $200 on all the four models.

While the Surface Pro 3 tablet will soon hit the retailers, do note that Surface Pro 2 is still a decent tablet and not very old. The device sports a 10.1-inch display with 1080p screen resolution. Powered by Quad-core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A15 processor and coupled with 2 gigs of RAM, the device runs Microsoft Windows 8.1 RT.

The revised price of Surface Pro 2 variants are as follows: 64GB: $799 (previous price $899), 128GB: $899 (previous price $999), 256GB: $1,099 (previous price $1,299), 512GB: $1,599 (previous price $1,799). In addition, the docking station is also available at a $20 discount. It can be used with both previous generation Surface tablets.
