Cloudmore chosen by Webroot as European Security-as-a-Service Master Reseller Partner

Bracknell, UK, 1 June 2011 – Webroot, the first Internet security service company, today signed a strategic partnership appointing Cloudmore as a Master Reseller partner. Cloudmore will offer Webroot’s Security Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technology offerings through its wide reseller network in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, the UK and Ireland.

“Webroot is totally focused on extending its European channel strategy and values its partner relationships highly,” said Ian Moyse, Webroot EMEA Channel Director. “Cloudmore brings a new model to the channel. Cloudmore is a cloud services provider specialising in enabling the IT reseller channel with cloud-based services. We are pleased that it recognises our channel and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technology leadership and has selected Webroot as its primary Security SaaS partner.”

Cloudmore will offer Webroot’s Security SaaS as part of a portfolio of other SaaS offerings, including bundled solutions that combine Webroot with, for example, hosted email. Cloudmore will work alongside Webroot’s single tier channel model, adding a second tier offering in alignment with the Webroot Channel Edge reseller programme. Therefore, Webroot partners have the option of benefiting from Cloudmore’s large range of SaaS offerings and bundled deals.

Michael Wicander, CEO of Cloudmore commented, “As the Cloudmore brand grows we look to offer our partner base the very best SaaS solutions available on the market. With Webroot we have found a vendor that has the technological strength and breadth of Email, Web and Email Archive services for our growing reseller channel to benefit from. During our evaluations, Webroot also proved to have the strongest channel programme of all the SaaS security vendors on offer, not forgetting a robust customer support organisation. We are pleased that the combined channel proposition and individual strengths of Cloudmore and Webroot can now come to market as a force to be reckoned with.”
