Microsoft has announced the Nokia Lumia 530 in Vietnam for 2.349 million VND (almost $110) at a press event called Rock The Color. The device is successor to the best-selling Nokia Lumia 520, but the hardware bump is not that significant. The handset is set to launch in the country over the weekend, and will be available in four color options: orange, grey, white and green.
The device comes with slightly beefed up specifications, and rocks a 4-inch screen sporting a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, and comes with a quad-core Snapdragon 200 SoC with 512MB of RAM. There’s 4GB of storage on board with a microSD card support for expansion.
Other features include a 5MP rear camera for photos and videos, WiFi, Bluetooth, 1,430 mAh battery and runs Windows Phone 8.1 as its operating system out of the box.
In addition to the Lumia 530, the company also introduced a Lumia VIP program for Vietnam which give Lumia owners discounts and attractive deals at various vendors who are working with Microsoft. It is set to begin on August 3rd, and includes over 500 brands from various categories ranging from food to clothing and more.
