Bing Rewards members can now earn credits on MSN

Brad Stephenson

Bing Rewards has had some sort of presence on MSN for a few years now but starting this week, Bing Rewards members will be able to earn Bing Rewards credits by reading select MSN news, sports, and entertainment stories as well as watching videos. It is important to note that not all content will earn credits but this should still come as a nice bonus to those loyal Bing Rewards users and may even encourage more people to visit the MSN website, which is most likely the true motivation behind this updated strategy.
The Bing Rewards program is a sort of point system run by Microsoft to encourage consumers to use services such as their Bing search engine and Edge web browser. Earned credits can be redeemed for coupons, competition entries, or donated to charity. The system is limited to only select regions such as the U.S. and doesn’t seem to get too much of a marketing push from Microsoft, making it unclear if this is part of a larger rollout or a simple one-off expansion to help promote MSN.
