Fortnite video game’s new Crew premium subscription is pretty buggy in its 2nd month

Fortnite Video Game Skins On Xbox One And Xbox Series X

The launch of Fortnite Crew, the Fortnite video game’s new premium subscription service, went pretty well but its second month has been plagued by a variety of glitches, some of which still haven’t been fixed almost a week into January.

Some players had been unable to resubscribe to Fortnite Crew while others had been charged multiple times for the first renewal.

The biggest issue encountered by Fortnite players, including myself, is the delay in the distribution of 1,000 V-Bucks which are supposed to be gifted to subscribers every month upon membership renewal. While this month’s character, Green Arrow, seems to have unlocked successfully for everyone, a large number of people have yet to recieve their free in-game currency.

This delay in V-Bucks distribution is particularly frustrating as a number of new cosmetic items have been added to the in-game store this month and, as usual, most of them are quickly removed after a 24 hour window.

The official Fortnite Status Twitter account has stated that Epic Games is working on a fix for this issue but, so far, there seems to have been no progress, at least as far as players are concerned. So far, this bug appears to be affecting players on most supported platforms including Microsoft’s Xbox One and Xbox Series X consoles.

Fortnite Crew is a new subscription service that rewards members with exclusive skins and items, 1,000 V-Bucks, and access to the current Battle Pass every month.
