PC sales never really recovered since we’ve entered the “post-PC” world years ago, but this week both IDC and Gartner are reporting that the market finally showed some signs of growth in Q2 2018.

Yesterday, IDC also reported a drop in PC sales worldwide, albeit slightly less of a drop at 3.9%, confirming the general weakness of the PC market.
Gartner Inc has released yet another report, and this time, it has some bad news when it comes to WorldWide PC Shipments. The group has confirmed the continued decline of the PC market, and is reporting that PC shipments are down 5.7% in Q3 2016.
According to Gartner, worldwide PC shipments fell by 9.6% in Q1 2016 compared to the year before, and in the U.S. PC sales fell 6.6%.
