Now that Microsoft announced that the Halo: Reach remaster will be released on Xbox One consoles and Windows PC on December 3, we finally know more about 343 Industries’ plans for Halo: Combat Evolved on PC.
I went to gamescom in Cologne, Germany, earlier this week to check out the latest games shipping later this Fall, and I spent some time with Gears 5 Horde Mode, Halo: Reach on PC, Age of Empires II Definitive Edition and Minecraft Dungeons.
343 Industries explained that the work being done with Unreal Engine 4 to create new character customization options as well as the new progression system in Halo: Reach is really pushing the Xbox One to its limits.
The new Halo Insider Program will allow select Insiders to receive early access to MCC on PC to play and give feedback, but 343 Industries said yesterday that crossplay between Xbox One and PC is still up in the air.
The rumor was true, Halo developer 343 Industries has been secretly working on a PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and the anthology will be released on the Windows 10 Microsoft Store and Steam later this year.
